Cranston, Rhode Island Fire Department– has received a Federal grant in the amount of $118,935 for the purchase of 4 Cardiac Monitors.

Cranston, Rhode Islaned Fire Department- has received a Federal grant in the amount of $2,765,310 to hire 15 Firefighter positions lost through attrition.

Cranston, Rhode Island Fire Department- has purchased a 1991 E-One Hurricane 110’ RMA that prevously served Forest, PA. It has been designated Ladder 5 and will be utilized as a reserve ladder truck.

Lime Rock (Lincoln, Rhode Island) Fire Department- Timothy Walsh has been sworn in as the new Fire Chief.

Narragansett, Rhode Island Fire Department- has received a Federal grant in the amount of $220,953.00 for 5 – Cardiac Monitors and Fire Instructor Training.

North Providence, Rhode Island Fire Department- Fire Chief Leonard "Lenny" A. Albanese has announced his retirement from the Department. Chief Albanese will be taking the reins as Fire Chief for the city of Chelsea Mass. Albanese is a 30yr veteran of the North Providence Department. He was instrumental in getting the North Providence Fire Department to become an ISO rated Class-1 department. The only department in RI, one of 6 in New England and one of 67 nationwide.

North Providence, Rhode Island Fire Department- has sworn in Edward A. DiGiulio as Chief of Department on August 26, 2016. Chief DiGiulio is a 30 year veteran of the Department and has earned his way up the ranks most recently serving as the Assistant Chief of Department.

Warwick, Rhode Island Fire Department- Assistant Fire Chief James McLaughlin has been promoted to Fire Chief. Assistant Fire Chief Bruce Cooley has retired after 32 years on the job. Battalion Chief David Morse has been promoted to Assistant Chief.
