Acushnet, Mass Fire Department- has purchased a 2000 E-One 100' RMA that previously served in Lexington. This is the departments first ladder truck.

Agawam, Mass Fire Department- Firefighter Pam Murphy has retired after 32 years of service. Pam was the first female civil service firefighter in Massachusetts. Posted in March.

Aquinnah, Mass Fire Department- interested in merging with Chilmark Fire Department. CLICK FOR ARTICLE. Posted in February.

Ashburnham, Mass Fire Department- Engine 3's 2017 E-One Cyclone was involved in a crash when it slid on ice and collided with a guardrail. No injuries were reported. Damage was sustained to the passenger side rear of the truck. No estimate for how long the apparatus will be out of service. Posted in January.

Barnstable County Fire Academy- Hanover, Mass has donated their recently retired 1989 E-One 110' RMA to the school. Posted in February.

Barre, Mass- the Fire Department and Rescue Department have been merged into one agency. Posted in March.

Billerica, Mass Fire Department- Fire Chief Thomas Conway will retire on Friday January 5th after 34 years of service. Deputy Fire Chief Robert Cole has been named as Interim Fire Chief. Posted in January.

Billerica, Mass Fire Department- Robert "Bobby" Cole has been named as the new Fire Chief. Posted late February.

Boston Fire Department- Engine 5 and District 1 have been relocated to Engine 9/Ladder 2's quarters while work is done on the fire station. The work is expected to take approximately 4-6 months. Posted in February.

Boston Fire Department- Engine 55 has been assigned a 2010 KME 1250/750 that had previously served with Engine 7 and Engine 42. Posted in February.

Cambridge, Mass Fire Department- Engine 3 became the city’s 2nd Paramedic Engine company on January 11th. This move was made to meet the demands of the rapidly expanding Northpoint and East Cambridge areas. This is the fifth Fire department medic unit. Charlton, Mass Fire Department- Engine 2's 2001 Spartan/E-One 1250/1000 has returned to the department after being refurbished by Bulldog Fire Apparatus. Posted late February.

Dunstable Mass Fire Department- $25,000 was approved at town meeting for the purchase of a UTV/Offroad vehicle with water/pump/foam/ems capabilities. Expected delivery is 1st week of July. Also, Dunstable Fire will be requesting $405,000 on June 26 to purchase a new forestry engine, which would replace the current Engine 2. Posted in May.

Marlborough, Mass Fire Department- the department has purchased a 1997 E-One Protector that previously served in Wilmington. It will be utilized as a spare and has been designated Engine 6. Engine 4's 1997 E-One has been removed from service and retired. Posted in March.

Merrimac, Mass Fire Department- has purchased a 1998 KME Aerialcat 1500/00/102' RM Tower. The unit previously served with the Holtsville Fire Department in NY. Posted in February.

Middleborough, Mass Fire Department- Captain Richard Cummings has retired after 33 years of service. Posted in April.

Monroe, Mass Fire Department- has placed into service a 1997 International 4900/Darley 1500/1250 as Engine 2. The unit previously served in Alford, Mass as Engine 2. Posted in May.

Natick, Mass Fire Department- has named Deputy Chief Michael Lentini as the new Fire Chief. Posted in January.

New Bedford, Mass Fire Department- receives two fire prevention and education grants. CLICK FOR ARTICLE. Posted in January.

Newton, Mass Fire Department- has purchased a 1995 Pierce Sabre 150/300 heavy rescue that was recently retired by Hopkinton. It will be utilized as a spare rescue. Posted in April.

North Brookfield, Mass Fire Department- recently placed into service a 1986 Chevy 4x4 125/250 as Brush 1. The unit had previously served in Franklin. The department also placed into serice a 1975 AM General 6x6 750/1500 as Tanker 1. The chassis had been obtained from Grafton. Posted in May.

Pittsfield, Mass Fire Department- has purchased a 2004 Seagrave Flame 1500/750 for use as a spare engine. It has previously served in Concord, New Hampshire as Engine 6 and Engine 1. Posted in April.

Plymouth, Mass Fire Department- Plymouth Firefighters become first in the state with personal thermal imaging cameras. CLICK FOR ARTICLE. Posted in January.

Plymouth, Mass Fire Department- voters approved $7.5 million to replace the North Plymouth Fire Station (Engine 7). Posted in April.

Plympton, Mass Fire Department- has made Phil Curran Interim Fire Chief. Posted in March.

Princeton, Mass Fire Department- Russ Hall has been sworn in as Fire Chief and Sean Smith has been sworn in as Deputy Chief. Posted in January.

Quincy, Mass Fire Department- Engine 6 has been assigned former Engine 1's 2005 E-One Typhoon and Engine 7 has been assigned former Enigne 5's 2005 E-One Typhoon. Posted in February.

Quincy, Mass Fire Department- Fire Chief Joe Barron announced he will retire in July after 40 years with the department. Posted in April.

Raynham, Mass Fire Department- Firefighter William Trautman has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Posted in March.

Rehab Five, Massachusetts- has on order from the factory a 2018 GMC HD2500. The build date from the factory is February 14 and they expect delivery a few months later. It will then be upfitted by AllComm and have a full slide out bed under a custom cap. This unit will be assigned Rehab 5-0 and will replace the Subaru which will be sold as surplus. Salem, Mass Fire Department- Chief Dave Cody will retire at the end of March. Deputy Gerry Giunta will become Acting Chief. Posted in February.

Sandwich, Mass Fire Department- recently placed into service a 1991 BMY Harsco/2017 Fire-1 6x6 150/750 as Breaker 462. Posted in April.
