Ashburnham, Mass Fire Department- Engine 3's 2017 E-One Cyclone was involved in a crash when it slid on ice and collided with a guardrail. No injuries were reported. Damage was sustained to the passenger side rear of the truck. No estimate for how long the apparatus will be out of service.

Billerica, Mass Fire Department- Fire Chief Thomas Conway will retire on Friday January 5th after 34 years of service. Deputy Fire Chief Robert Cole has been named as Interim Fire Chief.

Cambridge, Mass Fire Department- Engine 3 became the city’s 2nd Paramedic Engine company on January 11th. This move was made to meet the demands of the rapidly expanding Northpoint and East Cambridge areas. This is the fifth Fire department medic unit. All transporting continue to be done by Professional Ambulance.
