Brookfield, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2020 Ford F-550 Type 1 ambulance manufactured by PL Custom Emergency Vehicles. It replaces a 2010 Ford E/PL Custom. Posted in January. Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Ambulance (Shelton, Connecticut)- has taken delivery of and placed into service a 2019 Mercedes 4X4 Sprinter ambulance with a 2nd ambulance being delivered shortly. Each features a 1250 GPM pump, 560 gallon water tank and 30 gallon foam tank. They will be assigned to Engine 2 and Engine 5, replacing a pair of 2003 Ferrara pumpers. Posted in January. Hartford, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2020 E-One Cyclone-Metro 100' RMA for Ladder 4. It replaces a 2001 Sutphen. Posted in February. New Fairfield, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Freightliner/Pierce 1800 gallon tanker for Tanker 7. It replaces a 1998 Freightliner/4 Guys. Posted in April. Quiambaug Fire Co (Stonington, Conn)- has taken delivery of a KME tanker built on a Freightliner chassis. Designated T-24, it features a 1500 GPM pump and a 2000 gallon tank. Posted in January. South Windham, Connecticut Fire Department- recently placed into service a 2020 Pierce Saber pumper as Engine 204. It features a 1500 GPM pump and 1000 gallon water tank and replaces a Ford C/E-One pumper. Posted in March. Southington, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2020 Sutphen Monarch Extreme Duty rescue pumper for Squad 1. It features a 1500 GPM pump and 750 gallon water tank. Squad 1's current 2017 Sutphen will be reassigned to Engine 31, replacing a 1999 Pierce. Posted in February. Torrington, Connecticut Fire Department- has purchased an E-One stock ladder truck. Built on a Typhoon X with long cab, it features a 2000 GPM Hale QMAX pumper, 500 gallon water tank, 78' rear-mount aerial with 750 lb tip rating, and a Cummins ISL 450 HP motor. Posted in February. Trumbull Center, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 E-One Typhoon X 1500/780/30F pumper for Engine 101. Posted in April. Waterbury, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Spartan Metrostar/Gowans-Knight 1500/500 for Engine 7. It replaces a 2003 Seagrave 1500/500. Posted in March. The West Shore Fire District (West Haven, CT)- has taken delivery of a 2019 Ford F-550 4x4/PL Custom re-mounted rescue/ambulance for Rescue 35. Posted in February. Woodbridge, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 E-One Typhoon for Engine 3. It replaces a 1989 Ford F-800/FMC. Posted in March. |

Ansonia, Connecticut Fire Department- Eagle Hose Hook & Ladder Co Truck 7's 2006 Pierce Dash 95' Mid-Mounted Tower has returned to service after being refurbished. Posted in March. Hebron, Connecticut Fire Department- has placed into service a 2010 Ford F-550 4x4/Lifeline ambulance as Ambulance 610. The unit previously served with the Bozrah, CT Fire Department and was refurbished before being delivered to Hebron. Posted in January. Quiambaug Fire (Stonington, Connecticut)- with the delivery of the two new KME units, T22's 1987 Spartan/RD Murray 1500/1000, T23's 1990 International/Ranger 1250/1000 and T27's 1997 International/Super Vac rescue have all been retired.
