Couresty of Mike Boynton of MassFiretrucks:
Not sure how many have heard about current events in Coventry, RI, but a HUGE tip of the cap and THANK YOU to the Central Coventry Firefighters who are still on the job serving that Fire District despite NOT BEING PAID FOR TWO WEEKS. That is correct. Because the voters in that District refused to approve the District budget, there is insufficient funding to pay the firefighters.....yet they are still working. And, after two weeks, the impacts on these professionals and their families are being felt and they are real. One might suggest that the term dedication is being redefined before our eyes. Please go to their Facebook page and click a well deserved "LIKE"!
