2021 CONNECTICUT APPARATUS DELIVERIES

Bantam Fire Co in Litchfield has taken delivery of a 2022 Ford E-450/Horton ambulance for Ambulance 37. Posted in March.

Beacon Falls, Connecticut Fire Department- has placed into service a 2021 Ford F-450 ambulance as BH-6. Posted in May.

Bethany, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Spartan Gladiator/Marion rescue pumper for Engine 81. It features a 450HP Cummins L9 motor, 2000 GPM QMax Hale pump, 900 gallon water tank and 30 gallon class A foam tank. Posted in October.

Branford, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Sutphen pumper for Engine 5. It replaces a 1993 Sutphen. Posted in April.

Bridgeport, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of two (2) 2021 Pierce Enforcer 1250/500 pumpers for Engine 3 and Engine 15. Posted in July.

Bridgeport Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2021 Pierce Enforcer-Ascendant 107' RMA for Ladder 11. Posted in December.

Brookfield, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2020 Ford F-550 Type 1 ambulance manufactured by PL Custom Emergency Vehicles. It replaces a 2010 Ford E/PL Custom. Posted in January.

Burlington, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Freightliner 114SD/Firovac 2200 gallon tanker for Tanker 101. Posted in April.

East Granby, Connecticut Fire Department- Engine-Tank 308's 2005 KME 1000/1000 has returned to service after being refurbished by Gowans-Knight. Posted in May.

Eastford Fire Company (Eastford, CT)- recently placed into service a 2021 Spartan MetroStar/Toyne pumper with 1500 GPM pump, 1000 gallon tank and a stainless steel body. It is designated Engine-Tank 271. Posted September 2021.

Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Ambulance (Shelton, Connecticut)- has taken delivery of and placed into service a 2019 Mercedes 4X4 Sprinter ambulance with a 2nd ambulance being delivered shortly. CLICK FOR ARTICLE. Posted in February.

Ellington, Connecticut Fire Department- recently took delivery of a 2020 Sutphen Monarch Exterme Duty 1500/1000/30F for Squad 243. It replaces a 1997 Pierce Quantum. Posted in May.

Enfield, Connecticut Fire District 1- has taken delivery of a 2021 Pierce Velocity for Engine 16. It has a 1250 GPM pump and 750 gallon water tank. Posted in April.

Essex, Connecticut Fire Department- has placed into service a new a MetalCraft Marine 28’ fireboat. It features a twin Yamaha 200hp outboards, 1500 GPM pump and is powered by a GM 6.2 liter V8. Posted in June.

Farmington, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Pierce Arrow XT Ascendant 1500/300/100' Mid-Mount tower ladder for Ladder 1. It replaces a 2001 Pierce. Posted in October.

Flanders, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Spartan/Smeal 1500/1250 for Engine 21. Posted in June.

Guilford, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Chevy/Excellence ambulance for Medic 1. Posted in April.

Hartford, Connecticut Fire Department- had taken delivery of two (2) 2020 E-One Typhoon pumpers. Each features a 1250 GPM pump, 560 gallon water tank and 30 gallon foam tank. They will be assigned to Engine 2 and Engine 5, replacing a pair of 2003 Ferrara pumpers. Posted in January.

Hartford, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2020 E-One Cyclone-Metro 100' RMA for Ladder 4. It replaces a 2001 Sutphen. Posted in February.

Hawleyville Fire Co (Newtown, CT)- has taken delivery of a 2021 Spartan Gladiator tanker for Tanker 339. It features a Cummins ISX 15 motor, Allison 4000 EVS transmission, 1000 gpm Hale pto pump, and a 3000 gallon UPF water tank. Posted in October.

Manchester, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Spartan Metro Star/Marion with 2000 GPM pump and 500 gallon water tank for Engine 3. Posted in July.

Manchester 8th Utilities has taken delivery of a 2021 Pierce Saber for Engine 2. It features a 1500 GPM Waterous pump, 1000 gallon water tank and rescue style body. Posted in November.

Milford, Connecticut Fire Department- recently took delivery of a 2021 Ferrara Inferno with 1250 GPM pump and 500 gallon water tank for Engine 4. Posted in September.

Milford, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Ford F-550/Horton ambulance for Medic 3. Posted in October.

Mohegan Tribal Fire Department (Mohegan Suns Casino/Resort, CT)- recently placed into service a 2020 Pierce Saber with 1500 GPM pump. It replaces a 1999 American LaFrance pump. Also, the department's 2009 Spartan/Smeal 2000/300/100' twr was sold to North River, PEI in Canada. Posted in August.

Moosup Fire (Plainfield, Connecticut)- has taken delivery of a 2021 Pierce Arrow XT pumper for Engine 194. It features a 1750 GPM pump, 750 gallon water tank and two 20 gallon foam cells. Posted in August.

New Canaan Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2021 Spartan/Gowans-Knight heavy rescue for Rescue 5. It replaces a 2000 International/EVI. Posted in March.

New London, Connecticut Fire Department- receives new Pierce tower to replace defective 2019 model. CLICK FOR ARTICLE. Posted in July.

Naugatuck, Connecticut Fire Department- recently placed into service a 2021 Pierce Arrow XT 100' Mid-Mount tower with 2000 GPM pump and 300 gallon tank as Truck 1. Posted in June.

New Fairfield, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Freightliner/Pierce 1800 gallon tanker for Tanker 7. It replaces a 1998 Freightliner/4 Guys. Posted in April.

North Branford Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2021 E-One Typhoon pumper with 1500 Hale QMAX GPM pump, 1000 gallon tank for Engine 3. Other features include: 304L Stainless Steele Body, Cummins L9 450hp motor and Onan 6kw Hydraulic Generator. Posted in December.

North Stonington, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Peterbuilt/E-One 1500/3000/30B for Engine 3 (H-13). Posted in June.

Northfield Fire (Litchfield, Conn)- has taken delivery of a 2021 Spartan MetroStar/4-Guys Walk Around Heavy Rescue w/19' Box. It replaces a 1993 International 4900/PL Custom rescue. Posted in September.

Old Saybrook, Connecticut Fire Department- recently took delivery of two 2021 Pierce Enforcer pumpers for Engine 351 and Engine 353. Both units feature 1500 GPM pumps and 1000 gallon water tanks. They replace a 2004 Ferrara and 1994 E-One. Posted in October.

Poquonnock Bridge (Groton, Conn) Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2020 Spartan/Marion 1500/570 for Engine 32. The current Engine 32 will be reassigned as Engine 33 and the current Engine 33 will be donated to the Eastern Fire School in Connecticut. Posted in September.

Prospect Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2021 Pierce Enforcer PUC Rescue Pumper for Squad 3. Features include: 1500 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank, TAK4 suspension, 214 Body, and Cummins 500hp X12 motor. Posted in March.

Quaker Farms Fire (Oxford, Conn)- has taken delivery of a 2021 Pierce Arrow XT pumper for Engine 31. It features a 1500 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank and 30 gallon foam tank. It replaces a 1998 American LaFrance. Posted in August.

Quiambaug Fire Co (Stonington, Conn)- has taken delivery of a KME tanker built on a Freightliner chassis. Designated T-24, it features a 1500 GPM pump and a 2000 gallon tank. Posted in January.

Scotland, CT Volunteer Fire Department- has recently placed into service a Toyne pumper/tanker built on an International Navistar 2-door chassis as Engine-Tank 116. It features a 1500 GPM pump, 3000 gallon water tank and a stainless steel body. Posted in September.

South Windham, Connecticut Fire Department- recently placed into service a 2020 Pierce Saber pumper as Engine 204. It features a 1500 GPM pump and 1000 gallon water tank and replaces a Ford C/E-One pumper. Posted in March.

Southington, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2020 Sutphen Monarch Extreme Duty rescue pumper for Squad 1. It features a 1500 GPM pump and 750 gallon water tank. Squad 1's current 2017 Sutphen will be reassigned to Engine 31, replacing a 1999 Pierce. Posted in February.

Torrington, Connecticut Fire Department- has purchased an E-One stock ladder truck. Built on a Typhoon X with long cab, it features a 2000 GPM Hale QMAX pumper, 500 gallon water tank, 78' rear-mount aerial with 750 lb tip rating, and a Cummins ISL 450 HP motor. Posted in February.

Trumbull Center, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 E-One Typhoon X 1500/780/30F pumper for Engine 101. Posted in April.

Vernon, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Pierce Enforcer PUC pumper for Squad 4 (441). It features a 1500 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank and a rescue style body. It replaces Rescue 441 and Engine-Tank 441. Posted in May.

Warehouse Point Fire Department in East Windsor has taken delivvery of a 2021 Pierce Arrow XT Ascendant 2000/480/20A/107' RMA for Truck 238. Posted in November.

Waterbury, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Spartan Metrostar/Gowans-Knight 1500/500 for Engine 7. It replaces a 2003 Seagrave 1500/500. Posted in March.

The West Shore Fire District (West Haven, CT)- has taken delivery of a 2019 Ford F-550 4x4/PL Custom re-mounted rescue/ambulance for Rescue 35. Posted in February.

Windsor, Connecticut Fire Department- recently took delivery of a 2020 Pierce Arrow XT 1500/500 for Engine 2. Posted in May.

Windsor, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 Pierce Arrow XT 1500/500 for Poquonock Engine 3. Posted in October.

Woodbridge, Connecticut Fire Department- has taken delivery of a 2021 E-One Typhoon for Engine 3. It replaces a 1989 Ford F-800/FMC. Posted in March.

Ansonia, Connecticut Fire Department- Eagle Hose Hook & Ladder Co Truck 7's 2006 Pierce Dash 95' Mid-Mounted Tower has returned to service after being refurbished. Posted in March.

Burlington, Connecticut Fire Department- has placed into service a 2021 Ford Explorer non-transporting ALS unit as Medic 10. Posted in May.

East Granby, Connecticut Fire Department- has placed into service a 2001 Pierce Quantum heavy rescue as Rescue 808. The rig previously served in Cooperstown, PA and was refurbished by Gowans-Knight before being delivered to the department. Posted in October.

East Hartford has reassigned spare Engine 7's 2005 Seagrave to Engine 2 until the new Seagrave Capitol on order has been delivered. Former Engine 6's 2005 Seagrave has been reassigned as spare Engine 7. Posted in March.

Hebron, Connecticut Fire Department- has placed into service a 2010 Ford F-550 4x4/Lifeline ambulance as Ambulance 610. The unit previously served with the Bozrah, CT Fire Department and was refurbished before being delivered to Hebron. Posted in January.

Meriden, Connecticut Fire Department- the reserve ladder, a 1999 E-One Cyclone II, has changed designations from Truck 101 to Truck 2. Posted in January.

Quiambaug Fire (Stonington, Connecticut)- with the delivery of the two new KME units, T22's 1987 Spartan/RD Murray 1500/1000, T23's 1990 International/Ranger 1250/1000 and T27's 1997 International/Super Vac rescue have all been retired. Posted in February.

Water Witch Fire (New Milford)- has sold their 1993 Freightliner/Gowans Knight heavy rescue to Red Bank, NJ. They currently have a new rescue truck on order. Posted in November.

West Stafford Fire had acquired a 1990 Mack CF688/Baker 75' Aerialscope for Tower 144. The unit previously served in Whitehall, PA and most recently Mt. Mourne, NC. The 1987 Sutphen it replaces has gone to Camden, TN. Posted in December.

Westport, Connecticut Fire Department- funds have been approved to purchase a new ambulance, dive unit and shift commander's vehicle. CLICK FOR ARTICLE. Posted in July.

Wilton, Connecticut Fire Department- has placed into service a 2020 Ford F-550/1997 KME as Utility 6. The KME box came from a Ford F-350 chassis that had been acquired from Otto, NY. It was mounted to a new chassis and refurbished by the department's mechanic. Posted in April.
