2023 CONNECTICUT APPARATUS ORDERS and FUNDING

Avon Fire Department has placed an order with Firematic for a Pierce Enforcer PUC with 1500 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank and 30 gallon foam tank.

Bantam Fire Company in Litchfield has signed a contract with Gowans and Knight to refurbish the 18’ 4 Guys rescue body from the 1995 Freightliner chassis and re-mount it to a new 2022 Spartan FC94 LTD chassis. Nov 2021.

Beacon Hose Company No 1 has placed an order with Firematic for a Pierce Saber pumper. May 2022.

Berlin Fire Department has placed an order with Firematic for a Pierce Velocity pumper.

Bolton Fire Department- has placed an order with Pierce for a Velocity pumper with 1500 GPM pump and 1000 gallon water tank. Feb 2022.

Canton Fire Department has placed an order with Northeastern Fire Associates for a Marion walk-in heavy rescue built on a Spartan chassis with 2-door cab. Nov 2022.

Clinton Fire Department has placed an order with 4-Guys for a pumper/tanker built on Spartan chassis w/ Gladiator 4-door cab. Features including a stainless steel body, 1000 GPM pump and 2500 gallon water tank. Mar 2022.

Colchester-Hayward Fire Department has placed an order with Pierce for four pieces of apparatus. Two Enforcer pumpers with 2000 GPM pumps, 750 gallon water tanks and 30 gallon foam tanks for Engine 128 and Engine 328. One Enformer pumper with 2000 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank and 30 gallon foam tank for Engine-Tank 428. And an Arrow XT Ascendant 100' Mid-Mount tower with pump and 300 gallon water tank. Dec 2021.

Colebrook Fire Department has ordered a 4-Guys pumper built on a Spartan Metro Star chassis. Jun 2022.

Darien Fire Department has placed an order with Seagrave for an Attacker walk-in heavy rescue with tandem rear axles. Jan 2023.

Deep River Fire Department currently has in production a pumper being built by Gowans-Knight on a Spartan chassis. When completed and in service, it will replace a 1983 Pierce Dash. Posted July 2022.

Deep River Fire has placed an order with On Scene LLC for a new tanker built by Spencer MFG on a commercial chassis. Feb 2023.

East Hartland Fire Department has ordered a 4-Guys pumper on a Spartan Metro Star chassis with 1500 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank and a foam system. Jun 2022.

East Litchfield, CT has placed an order with 4-Guys for a pumper built on a Spartan chassis with MetroStar 4-door cab. Features include a stainless steel body, 1500 GPM pump and 1000 gallon water tank. It will replace a 1991 Pierce and delivery is expected in April of 2023. Mar 2022.

Essex Fire Engine Company #1 has placed an order with Pierce for an Enforcer heavy rescue. Mar 2022.

Fairfield Fire Department has placed an order with Firematic for a Pierce Enforcer pumper. April 2023.

Guilford Fire Department has placed an order with Pierce for an Enforcer pumper with 1500 GPM pump, 725 gallon water tank and 25 gallon foam tank. May 2021.

Hamden Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for two (2) E-One pumpers. One is a Typhoon E-Max with a rasied roof and the other is a flat roof with low hosebed. Oct 2022.

Hartford Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for two (2) E-One Typhoon pumpers. Jul 2022.

Jewett City/AA Young Fire in Griswold has awarded a Smeal pumper-tanker on a Spartan Gladiator chassis from New England Fire. It will feature a 1500 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank and 20 gallon Class A foam tank. Delivery is expected in the spring of 2023. Sep 2022.

Long Hill Fire in Trumbull has placed an order with Pierce for an Enforcer pumper with 1500 GPM pump and 650 gallon water tank. May 2021.

Mashantucket Peqouit Fire Department has on order two Piece pumpers for Engine 1 and Engine 2.

Middlebury Fire Department has placed an order with Firematic for a Pierce Velocity pumper tanker with 1250 GPM pump, 2500 gallon water tank, 100 gallon foam tank, and a Cummins X15 605hp engine. Nov 2022.

Milford has approved funding to purchase a new quint type ladder truck. Feb 2023.

Mohegan Fire Co in Montville has placed an order with KME for a Panther MFD pumper with 2000 GPM pump and 1000 gallon water tank. May 2021.

Mortlake Fire Department in Brooklyn has placed an order with Smeal for a pumper built on a Spartan MetroStar chassis. Features include a Cummings 450 HP motor, Allison transmission, 1500 GPM Hale pump, 1250 gallon water tank and 20 gallon foam tank. Nov 2021.

Naugatuck Fire has placed an order with Firematic for a new Pierce pumper. Apr 2022.

New Britain, Connecticut- has on order a 2022 Spartan Gladiator MFD / LTI 110' RM. Nov 2021.

New Britain Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for two (2) E-One custom pumpers. Aug 2022.

Newington Fire Department has conducted final inspection of their new Pierce rear-mount tower ladder for Truck 2. Delivery will take place after outfitting at the local dealer. Feb 2023.

Portland Fire Department has funds to purchase a new tanker to replace Tanker 6's 1985 GMC/Saulsbury 3000 gallon. They also have been given funding to purchase a new pumper next year. Sep 2022.

Sharon Fire Department has ordered a 4-Guys tanker built on a Kenworth T-800 chassis with 3000 gallon water tank. Posted June 2022.

Shelton Fire has placed an order with Seagrave for two (2) Marauder pumpers with 1500 GPM pumps and 750 gallon water tanks. Posted August 2022.

South Killingly Fire has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for a new E-One pumper. Jan 2023.

Southbury Fire Department has awarded 4-Guys, Inc and International Trucks two (2) 2800 tankers built on International cabs through IH's "SourceWell" program. Each tanker features a 1000 GPM Hale PTO pump, hydraulic dump tank rack and rear dump with Newton Swivel. Apr 2021.

Stamford EMS has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for a Horton ambulance built on a Ford F-350 series chassis. Sep 2022.

Stamford EMS has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for a Horton ambulance built on a Ford F-550 chassis. March 2023.

Sterling Fire's new rescue/pumper has been completed at the factory. Built by Marion on at Spartan chassis, the new unit will be delivered to the department after outfitting at the local dealer. Feb 2023.

Suffield Fire Department has placed an order with E-One for a tanker built on a Kenworth chassis. Dec 2021.

Thompsonville Fire District of Enfield has placed an order with Northern Fire Associates for a Marion pumper built on a Spartan chassis. Sep 2022.

Tolland, Connecticut Fire Department- has awarded 4-Guys, Inc through it's dealer Granite Fire Apparatus, Inc. the bid for a new pumper. The truck will be a Spartan Gladiator with 1500 GPM Hale pump, 1000 water and 30 foam and will function as a rescue pumper. Apr 2021.

Torrington Fire has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for an E-One custom pumper. May 2023.

Trumbull Center Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for an E-One 100' rear-mount aerial ladder truck built on a single rear axle chassis. Jul 2022.

Vernon Fire Department has placed an order with Firematic for a Pierce Enforcer pumper-tanker. Jun 2022.

Watertown Fire Department has placed an order with C&S Specialty for a ladder truck built by Toyne on a Spartan chassis w/ 100' rear mount aerial. May 2023.

Weston Fire Department has placed an order with Firematic for a Pierce Enforcer non-walkthrough heavy rescue. May 2023.

West Hartford has placed an order with Firematic for a Pierce Velocity 100' MM Tower. May 2023.

West Haven Fire had placed an order with Pierce for an Enforcer pumper with 1250 GPM pump, 630 gallon water tank and 20 gallon foam tank. Mar 2022.

Willimantic Fire has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for two (2) Ford F-550/Horton ambulances. Mar 2022.

Wilton Fire has signed a contact with Pierce for an Arrow XT 105' heavy duty rear mount ladder truck. May 2022.

Wolcott Fire Department has placed an order with Pierce for a tower-ladder for Company 3. Built on and Arrow XT chassis, it will feature a 100' platform with no pump or tank and an aluminum body. Nov 2021. Construction completed April 2023, awaiting final delivery.

Woodbridge Fire Department had ordered a Rosenbauer pumper. It will be built on a Commander chassis with an extruded aluminum EXT body, 2250 GPM pump and 1000 gallon water tank. Jan 2022.

Woodbury Fire Department has placed an order with 4-Guys for a pumper/tanker built on an International chassis with 2-door cab. Features include a stainless steel body, 1250 GPM pump and 2500 gallon water tank. Mar 2022.




2023 CONNECTICUT APPARATUS DELIVERIES (New and Used)

Allingtown Fire in West Haven has taken delivery of a 2023 Spartan/Smeal pumper. It is powered by a Cummins L9 motor and features an Allison 3000EVP transmission, Waterous CSU 1500 GPM pump and carries 750 gallons of water & 30 gallons of foam. Electricity is provided by a Smart Power 6 kw hydraulic generator. Posted in March.

Bantam Fire has refurbished the 4-Guys 18' rescue body from their 1995 International rescue truck and remounted it to a 2022 Spartan FC-94 chassis. The refurbishment and remount was done by Gowans-Knight. Posted in April.

Barkhamstead East Fire has taken delivery of a 2022 Ford F-550/Firematic B.R.A.T. brush unit with 300 GPM pump, 300 gallon water tank and 10 gallon foam tank. Posted in February.

Bridgewater Fire has taken delivery of a 2023 Pierce Enforcer walk-around rescue for Rescue 5. Posted in January.

Bungay Fire in Woodstock recently took delivery of a 2022 Dodge 5500 4x4/C&S light rescue for Squad 177. Posted in February.

Canton Fire had taken delivery of a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 5500/Bruan ambulance for Car 10. Posted in May.

Columbia Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2023 E-One Cyclone eMax pumper with 1500 GPM pump and 750 gallon water tank. It has been desginated Squad 105. Posted in March.

Coventry Fire has taken delivery of a 2023 Pierce Enforcer 1500/1000 pumper. Posted in January.

Cromwell Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2022 Ford F-550/ PL Custom 4x4 ambulance. It is powered by a 6.7 PowerStroke diesel engine and equipped with a Stryker PowerLoad. Posted in April.

Cromwell Fire has taken delivery of a 2023 Pierce Enforcer PUC 1250/750/25F for Squad 1. Posted in May.

Deep River Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2022 Spartan/2023 Gowans-Knight pumper for Enigne 5-5-1. Posted in March.

East Granby Fire has purchased a 1998 Simon-Duplex/LTI 75' rear-mount tower. The unit previously served with the Terryville Fire Department in Plymouth, CT. Posted in April.

East Putnam Fire has taken delivery of a 2023 Kenworth/Fouts 1250/3000 for Tank 179. Posted in May.

Enfield Fire District #1 has taken delivery of a 2022 Pierce Enforcer 1500/500/75' RMA for Engine 12. Posted in January.

Fairfield Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2022 Pierce Enforcer 1500/750 pumper for Engine 2. The current Engine 2 will be reassigned to Engine 5. Posted in February.

Lisbon Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2023 Pierce Enforcer 1500/1500 for Engine-Tank 154. Posted in May.

Manchester Fire/Rescue recently took delivery of a 2022 Spartan MetroStar/Marion 2000/750 pumper for Engine 1. The 2012 Sutphen that had been Engine 1 has been reassigned to Engine 7. Posted in February.

Mashantucket Pequot Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2023 Pierce Enforcer 100' RM heavy duty tower with a 2000 GPM pump and 300 gallon water tank. It will be designated Tower 1. Posted in February.

New Fairfield Fire has taken delivery of a 2023 Ford F-550 4x4/PL Custom ambulance for 91-1. Posted in May.

Pratt & Whitney Fire in East Hartford has taken delivery of a 2022 Kenworth/Marion/Fouts rescue truck for Rescue 14. Posted in February.

Salisbury Volunteer Ambulance Service has taken delivery a new 2022 Ford F-550/PL Custom ambulance for Ambulance 1. It is powered by a 6.7 PowerStroke diesel engine and equipped with a Stryker PowerLoad. Posted in April.

Simsbury Volunteer Ambulance Association recently took delivery of their newly remounted 2022 Ford E-450/2015 PL Custom ambulance. Prior to remounting the body, any damage or corrosion was repaired prior to receiving new paint and graphics. The unit is designated 128-1. Posted in April.

South Fire District in Middletown recently took delivery of a 2022 Pierce Enforcer PUC 1500/100/30F former Demo for Engine 32. Posted in April.

Sterling Fire's new rescue/pumper has been completed at the factory. Built by Marion on at Spartan chassis, the new unit will be delivered to the department after outfitting at the local dealer. Posted in February.

Storm Fire Company in Derby has taken delivery of a 2022 Ford F-550/PL Custom 4X4 ambulance for FD-10. Posted in March.

Terryville Fire in Plymouth has taken delivery of a 2023 Pierce Velocity 100' MM Tower for Tower 1. Posted in March.

Thomaston Fire has taken delivery of a 2022 Spartan/Ferrara pumper for Engine 2. They also have taken delivery of a Dodge Ram 5500 utility which will be designated Engine 4. Posted in January.

Union Fire Department has placed into service a 2002 Spartan MetroStar/Rescue One rescue truck. It has previously served in Roscoe, NY and features a Cummins diesel motor, automatic transmission, 25KW generator, ResqTec hydraulic tools and a cascade system. It has been designated Rescue 172. Posted in January.

Waterbury Fire has taken delivery of their new 2022 Spartan/LTC 93' mid-mount platform. It is powered with a Cummins ISX driven through an Allison 4000EVS w/retarder. Electrical power provided by a Harrison 10 kw hydraulic generator. It will be assigned to Truck 2. Posted in February.

Waterbury Fire has purchased a 2007 Seagrave heavy rescue. It previously served with the Bellmawr, NJ Fire Department as Rescue 32. Posted in April.
